1.    Check for any sort of cracks or breakage.
2.    Slide your hand through the edges and make sure they are smooth.
3.    Supports and anchors should be securely fixed.
4.    There should be absolutely no rust anywhere. Presence of rust means the iron used is old and thus not good.
5.    All the parts of the swing set should be properly lubricated. There should be no creaking noise.
6.    Carefully see if there is any kind of chipping of paint or plastic. Children might try and put it in mouth causing choking.
